Finally here are the animal shapes with two layers of resin applied in stage three of my creation process. The monocromatic shapes are showing up somewhat darker in this photograph than in real life so it is harder to make out the surface graphic qualities.
Even though quite a fiddly process to get to this point, with a lot of patience needed waiting for each layer to dry, I am feeling pretty happy with them thus far.
Its been quite a productive afternoon in the studio today - despite the odd disaster along the way while I was applying resin - and as I have been endeavering to get the jewellery pieces closer to being finished.
Some of the larger pieces I have realised look better with a third coat of resin, adding more of a domed look, so that has been todays project along with painting edges and beginning to trace copies from the teddy bear drawings I mentioned previously in another post, that I intend to reproduce for childrens rooms etc.
